Labor Day, that final three-day weekend of summer, is right around the corner, and it’s time to take advantage of that extra day off from work to enjoy the last remaining days of summer. LA Labor Day Classic

The Los Angeles Equestrian Center will hold its annual hunter and jump show event during Labor Day weekend. You can head to their website to get tickets and view the events for the day.

A Forest For the Trees

This widely acclaimed art show is a must-see if you’re in LA during Labor Day weekend. You’ll be transported through a forest of magic with music and wonder that will give you a new view of the natural world. The art show is immersive; you can head to their website for the show’s hours and tickets.
Norco Labor Day Parade
- Address: 6th St, Norco CA
Head into Norco for their annual Labor Day Parade. The event will offer concerts, parties, a parade, and more that are fun for the entire family. Head to the website to see the rodeo schedule and grab tickets for the event.
Seaside Concerts
- Address: 401 Shoreline Village Dr, Long Beach CA
Over in Long Beach, you can attend a free concert on Monday, September 5. Enjoy a show from the Pedro Reis Band, where they will perform at the Boardwalk Theater. No tickets are required for the event, so grab your favorite food from a nearby restaurant.
Labor Day Celebration

The Crossings at Corona shopping center will have live entertainment during Labor Day weekend for all guests who stop by the shopping area. Numerous artists will perform throughout the day and welcome guests to stay for fun and some shopping.
Movie at the Cemetery
- Address: Hollywood Forever Cemetery
Start to get into that Halloween spirit with a movie at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Gates open at 7:15 pm, and the film is scheduled to start between 8:45 pm to 9 pm. It’s recommended to bring your own blankets and snacks to the movie. You can head to their website for tickets.
African Fashion and Music Festival

The 13th annual African Fashion and Music Festival will happen from September 2 to 4th. The festival will host numerous African artists and celebrate food, fashion, and fun from the African culture. Tickets start at $60, and events include a comedy show, fashion show, and music concert.

Visit A Beach
The fantastic weather makes LA the perfect place to hit the beach. Head out to Santa Monica Beach, which has beach volleyball, surfing and chess, or Venice Beach for more of a party scene. The Venice Ocean Front Walk also has many restaurants you can stop at for food.
Go on a bike ride
The Marvin Braude Bike Trail in LA is perfect for a 20-mile bike ride with the family. The trail starts at Will Rogers State Beach and ends in Torrance County Beach. While cycling, you will pass Santa Monica, Venice, Manhattan, and Redondo, all perfect for stopping and having a break.
Try out the Rincon Bike Trail for those who want a shorter ride. This course is 4-miles long and goes along the Santa Barbra coastline with fantastic ocean views; you might even see a dolphin.
Rooftop Pool
If you’re without kids, you can head to a rooftop pool with a drink in hand. The Mondrian Hotel will hold its annual Labor Day Pool Party at Skybar. The West Hollywood Hotel also hosts its own pool party, The Vibe Labor Day Rooftop Pool Party. It’s the perfect way to spend Labor Day relaxing under the sun.
Check Out a Musuem
Museums are great to go to with the entire family and LA is filled with great ones. Here are a few we recommend:

- Academy Museum of Motion Picture: View the history of movie making at this museum in LA.
- The Broad: Instagram lovers flock to the infinity mirror room and immersive art exhibit here.
