Los Angeles is perfect for holiday ice skating. Between the stunning beaches, gorgeous mountains, and numerous shops perfect for holiday gifts, there won’t be anything short to do during the holidays in this wonderful area. During the holiday season, LA becomes a beautiful winter wonderland, and ice skating is a must-do when you’re visiting.

Here are all our favorite ice skating rinks you can visit for a fun session while out and about in Los Angeles.

L.A. Kings Holiday Ice

  • Address: 800 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angles CA
  •  Dates: 11/30-1/8

The L.A. Kings ice skating rink is open again for L.A. Live. You can skate around a giant Christmas tree in the middle of the rink. Skating sessions are $25 and last an hour and a half. This rink is the largest ice skating rink in LA and one of the most popular, so make sure to get tickets in advance and check out their website for special events.

Holiday Ice Rink in Pershing Square

  •  Date: 11/30-1/8

Located in the heart of downtown is the Pershing Square outdoor ice rink. Tickets are $20 for an hour skate session and rentals are included in the price of your ticket. They have lockers for $3 rentals and you can contact them about private parties on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Dates: mid-November to mid- January

Head down to the Third Street Promenade for ice skating the whole family can afford to enjoy ($20/person covers rentals and and all-day skating). When you need a bite, you can grab handmade pizza and gelato, speciality hot chocolate, and even rent a private cabana for your whole party to gather and celebrate the season.

SkyPark at Santa’s Village

There are various things to do in Santa’s Village but be sure to take time for ice skating. The Silver Bells Arena will be ready for a festive skate session, which is included with a general admission ticket. Tickets cost between $59 to $69, and reservations must be made online.

Skating in the Park

Santa Ana’s Winter Village is perfect for a skating session with the whole family. They have live entertainment, a tree-lighting ceremony, and an ice rink. Tickets are $15 and can purchase online.

Ice Rink at Pasea Hotel and Spa

Skate along the beach at the Paseo Hotel and Spa in Huntington Beach. Their hour-long skate sessions cost $35 and include skate rentals. When you’re done skating, you can use the hotel’s amenities, including its fire pits and restaurants. There will be themed skate nights, and Santa will appear on Wednesday nights.

Surf City Winter Wonderland

The Surf City Winter Wonderland is located near the Huntington Beach Pier and is open throughout the holidays. They have themed skate, carolers, and more for an excellent time skating. Tickets are $22 and include skate rentals for sessions that last 90 minutes.

Irvine Ice Skating

  •  Dates: 11/30-1/8

Over at the Irvine Spectrum Center, you can skate under the stars. Each skate session is 90 minutes before being closed for resurfacing for the next sessions. While you wait, you can take a spin on the giant Ferris wheel. Skating costs $25 and includes a rental with the option of a helmet rental for $5.

Temecula on Ice

Pop onto Temecula’s state-of-the-art ice rink for incredible winter fun. General admission is $19 and includes skate rentals, plus you can rent an aid for $10. Check their website for hours and make sure you buy tickets in advance.
